Radio Broadgreen Sport New Sponsor

Radio Broadgreen are proud to have local contractors Ian Rylands Ltd sponsoring Radio Broadgreen Sport for the 2026-2027 season.

Based in Southport, the groundwork and plant hire company have been in business for over 25 years and are hoping to grow across the North West to the Midlands. Recent projects include working with the National Trust and the famous Southport old golf links as well as ground work at Seaforth Nature Reserve.

Ian Rylands Ltd will sponsor all of Radio Broadgreen’s live sports programmes including Premier League, English League Cup, English FA Cup and Champions League fixtures for the 2026/2027 season.

Radio Broadgreen’s Head of sport, Chris Orme, has welcomed the generous support of local companies and businesses that allow us to bring commentaries to hospital patients in the Merseyside area. The funds are used to pay for broadband and streaming fees. Chairman Derek Harold said “Since the Covid pandemic, it has been difficult for hospital radio stations to get funds to continue with their services to to the hospitals, care homes and clinics we serve. We are not funded by the NHS or receive any community radio/government grants and so support from local companies like Ian Rylands Ltd are important and very much welcomed.
