It’s International Beatles Week and this August Bank Holiday is packed with Beatles Specials!

Not able to make it down to Mathew street or The Cavern? Join us throughout Bank Holiday Monday from 8am for a whole bandstand of Merseybeat specials starting at 8am with Mike Winn’s What’s On The Jukebox Beatles/Rolling Stones Special. At 9 we switch to Paul McCartney/Wings Band On The Run album special followed by our very own Peter Grogan with Classic Albums “Sgt. Pepper’s”.

Richard Smith will bring us a two hour A to Z Special of Beatles covers at noon. The story behind “Abbey Road” is told by Peter Grogan at 2pm followed by two Fab Four specials at 3pm and 5pm. Sandwiched in between at 4pm will be the Classic Albums “Rubber Soul”. Peter’s final Classic Albums will feature “Let It Be” at 6pm

Monday evening will feature an A to Z of Merseybeat special (so not just The Beatles) followed by a live performance from Ray Oxley’s In Concert series. I wonder who that will be?

Richard Smith will return at his usual time of 10pm to round things off with an A to Z of John Lennon special.
